I was hoping to have another prize-winning featured artist for August, but unfortunately no-one uploaded any artwork this month:(  So instead I am featuring the artwork of my younger son, which because he is younger and less prolific, and indeed a less confident artist than my elder son, doesn’t have his work showcased that often.  He’s much more into painting than drawing, and is currently going through a glitter phase – everything has to have glitter on – and lots of it, in fact the more the better, none of this ‘less is more’ nonsense for him.

I have decided that I will only do 2 more monthly Featured Artists – I will have run it for a complete year by then, and I think it is time to do something different.  Perhaps because people have to upload artwork to Flickr (and after all, not everyone is on Flickr) there isn’t enough artwork being submitted to make it worthwhile continuing on a monthly basis.  Instead, I’ll probably make it more of an occasional feature – maybe have an online exhibition or 2 on changing themes.  Or perhaps I’ll replace it with another completely different regular feature -  anyone have any bright ideas??
